Imagine the perfect surf town. Not too big, not too small. Consistent waves. Just enough places to grab a bite and gear for your next surf.

Gerringong has always been more laid back than Wollongong or even Kiama. A place to grow your hair, grab a board, get salty, then drink a smoothie. A place you feel like you are on holidays year round.

I remember every year at summer camp in the local scout hall we slept on floorboards we could see through to the ground and walked down the hill to the beach every morning at dawn. The hillside foot commute was as good for our bones as the salt water.

A town big enough to have a public school, small enough to feel you know everyone.

If you want a big hillside northeastern view to the ocean, you’ve got it. If you want a home right down on the dunes of Werri Beach to roll out of bed into the ocean, you’ve got it. If you want to outrun the boulders on the inside section of the point when the swell is up, you’ve got it.

For the foodies, check out The Blue Goose (Link), Bella Char (Link), Hill Bar and Kitchen(Link), there are plenty of places to feed all times of the day.

New Surfboard? Kicks? Swimmers? Beach gear is a Natural Necessity (Link) around here. Check. Dog lover? Gerringong Headland and Werri Beach have off leash areas for you and your best friend.

Housing ranges from the quintessential fibro beach shack to the latest ultramodern surf home of concrete and glass. Hemmed in by the dairy country of Rose Valley, headlands at either end and the beach to the east, it will never sprawl. Behind Gerringong if you really want to feel like you are in another world, sneak up the hil into Rose Valley, Willow Vale and Foxground. Stunning rolling green views with complete privacy, framed by the ocean bring peace to busy souls.

What does Gerringong lack? Nothing good. City stress maybe.

For those who would rather surf full time, work part time.

Here is what Michael had to say:

“Matt from Precium has done a fantastic Job and I would work with him again no question. He is extremely professional and works very hard for you even when he was on holidays overseas he was taking our questions on-board and always got back to us promptly.

You would be doing yourself a disservice by not letting Matt help you to find the perfect property.”
